Bernadette (Levesque) Leduc Albernaz, 86, of Fall River, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, September 21, 2025.
Bernadette was the wife of the late Arthur Albernaz and previously the wife of the late Robert Paul Leduc.
Born in Fall River, Ma on December 22, 1938, she was a graduate of B.M.C. Durfee High School.
Bernadette began her journey at Stop & Shop, later became a bank teller during her time in Florida & Colorado, transitioning to the United States Postal Service, where she served as a clerk locally until her retirement in 2000 at the age of 62.
After retiring, she enjoyed taking care of her beloved grandchildren and granddogs, Lassie and Lacey. She was a devoted Catholic who enjoyed Christmas, preparing her delicious french cooking and especially spending time with all her family and friends. She also loved the many nights of dancing at the K of C & VFW, playing cards, and travelling.
Bernadette had a passion for sewing, knitting, and embroidery. Her creativity found its way into the lives of many as she crafted beautiful clothing for all her family and friends. She also took great pleasure in teaching the students knitting at Holy Trinity School.
She leaves a son Marc R. Leduc, a daughter Louise B. White and her husband Daniel White; three grandchildren, Steven and Alyssa Laquerre and Justin Leduc;
a stepson Arthur J. "Artie" Albernaz; and many nieces and nephews.
Bernadette "Bernie" was the youngest and last survivor of the 12 siblings; the late Sr. Laurianne Levesque, D.H.S.; Alexis “Al” Levesque; Sr. Jeannette Levesque, D.H.S.; Sr. Louise Levesque S.J.A.; Alfred “Fred” Levesque; Eva M. Desrochers; Benoit "Ben" Levesque; Robert “Bob” Levesque; Cecile "Cyl" Chicca; Roger Levesque and Roland Levesque. She was the daughter of the late Alfred and Marie Louise (Jalbert) Levesque;
Visitation will be held Sunday, September 28 from 2 PM to 5 PM at the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 South Main St. Fall River.
Her funeral will be held Monday, September 29 at 9 AM from the funeral home, with a Funeral Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Trinity Church, 951 Stafford Rd. Fall River, at 10 AM. Burial will follow at Notre Dame Cemetery.
