Barbara A. Platt

Barbara A. (Arruda) Platt, 87, of Fall River, peacefully passed away on Saturday, May 2, 2026. Barbara was a dedicated employee at Kerr Mill, where she worked as a cashier for 13 years. She treasured her time sewing, a hobby that brought her joy and creativity. Barbara often donated her time to hospice care.

Barbara was the cherished wife of the late Kenneth M. Platt and the beloved mother of the late Kim A. Platt, whom she dedicated her life caring for. She is also survived by her sister, Judith Lake. She was the daughter of the late Alfred and Emma (Joaquim) Arruda and sister to the late Alfred J. Arruda.

 She is lovingly remembered by her friend and caregiver, Maria "Fatima" Rego, who was a constant source of support, as well as her dear friend Elaine Bispo.

A Funeral Mass to honor Barbara's life will be held on Friday, May 15, 2026, at Holy Trinity Church on Stafford Road at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow at Notre Dame Cemetery.

In memory of Barbara’s compassionate spirit, donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital in lieu of flowers.
