Aurora Iris LaChance

Aurora Iris LaChance (née Wotton), age 27, passed away on October 23, 2025, after a difficult battle with stage 4 cancer. She was surrounded by loved ones and her beloved cat, Vhagar—affectionately known as Pebble Cat.

Born on April 1, 1998, in Framingham Massachusetts Aurora grew up in Franklin Massachusetts, where she attended Tri-County Regional Vocational Technical High School. There she studied Computer Information Systems and graduated 3rd in her class. Aurora continued her education at Worcester Polytechnic Institute and Graduated in 2020 with a B.S. in Applied Mathematics.

Even from a young age, Aurora was brilliant, and her quick wit was unmatched. Her favorite activities were playing challenging video games or solving puzzles and problems. Aurora’s humor brought light and laughter to any situation.

A lover of cats, Aurora especially loved her feline companion Vhagar, she and Vhagar shared such a beautiful bond.

Aurora is survived by her wife who was the love of her life, Ashton LaChance; her mother, Barbara (Bredvik) Wotton; her father, Bret Wotton; her brother, Evan Wotton and his Fiancée Kate Barry; her grandmother, Marilyn Bredvik; and her Papa, Bob Wotton. Her beloved cats, Cersei & Vhagar. well as several Aunts, Uncles and cousins. Each of them carries forward the memory of Aurora’s warmth and brilliance.

The family has elected to not have a public service and will be holding a Private ceremony.

Aurora was such a wonderful soul, so very kind and caring. May she rest easy and in peace.
