Antoinette T. "Nenette" (Ivanes) Lapointe

Antoinette T. "Nenette" (Ivanes) LaPointe, 87, of Carl St., Fall River, wife of Joseph Donat "Don" LaPointe, died Saturday, March 3, 2012. A member of ILGWU, now UNITE, and former member of L'Association Francophone, she was a gourmet cook, enjoyed sewing, knitting and gardening, and was a Eucharistic Minister and member of the Ladies of St. Anne Sodality of St. Jean Baptiste Parish. Besides her husband of 64 years, she leaves 4 children, Daniel LaPointe of Fall River, Marcelle Jerome (late husband Norman), and Claude LaPointe, both of Fairhaven, and Monique Garant and her husband Roland of Fall River; and grandchildren, Brian and Kevin Jerome of Fairhaven. Born in Mers-el-Kébir, French Algeria, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Marie (Navarro) Ivanes; and the sister of the late Zeze Ivanes. Her funeral will be held Wednesday at 9:00 AM from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass in Notre Dame Church at 10:00 AM. Burial, Notre Dame Cemetery. Visitation, Tuesday 5:00 to 8:00 PM. LARGE PARKING AREA and BARRIER-FREE ENTRANCE at the rear of funeral home.
