Annette M. Wrenn

Annette Madeline’s spirit left this world surrounded by the family she made, with over a dozen people who love her. Her larger than life personality could light up a ballroom. She would announce her arrival in the grandest fashion, “Here I am! Everyone, get ready!”. She led with a sense of humor that didn’t always hit the mark, yet, made her more endearing.

She loved and lived for competition. She spent a lifetime on the soccer field, basketball court and softball or baseball field. She spent her spare time gambling at the casino, bingo hall or playing cards for pennies with those of us she couldn’t sneak into legal gambling. She taught us to win, lose, tried to teach us to cheat and, most importantly, she taughtus to fight. Individually and as a family, she taught us to defend ourselves and each other, that we are all we have and together we can do anything.

Known to most as Grammy, she embraced every second of time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Grammy loved a good get together and when we were all there it was a party! Gram was the party & the after party. Everywhere she went she lit up the room with a contagious smile, a Gram fashioned joke and a heart big enough to make everyone feel loved. She never met a stranger, only friends she hadn’t made yet. She had a gift for making normal moments unforgettable. Whether she was dressed in her best, laughing until everyone else was laughing too or wrapping someone in one of her warm hugs, she made life brighter simply by being herself.

In her younger years she became a hairdresser and ran a salon with her sister Jeanne, she was a strong union advocate for nearly 20 years at Stop and Shop. Later, she was the owner of a small business, Anne’s Family day care. She closed out her working years by being a caretaker at the St. Thomas More rectory in Somerset. Anne was a foster parent to many children over the years, loving a home full of life and laughter.

Annette was born to Beatrice (St. Amour) and Gerard Berube. Was a sister to Evelyn Ledger (Berube) and Jeanne Berube. She was married to Leonard H. Wrenn Jr. Leaving children, Lynette Cabral and partner Jay Nogueira, Lori O’Driscoll and husband Sean O’Driscoll, Christine Wrenn, Steven Wrenn, Ashley Damon and husband Todd C. Damon. Granddaughters: Kasie Schoch (O’Driscoll) and husband Gavin, Hilary Cabral and wife Katie, Kate O’Driscoll, Karlie O’Driscoll and wife Grace, Kylie Arruda. Grandsons: Zachary Cabral and wife Emily, Conlen O’Driscoll, Mason Wrenn, Ryan and Cody Damon. She also leaves great grandchildren Hunter, Jane, Harrison and Elliot Schoch, Noah Cabral, Emerson Cabral.

Visitation will be held Friday, July 31 from 4PM to 7PM at Auclair Funeral Home, 690 S.Main St. Fall River. Her Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, Aug. 1, at 10 AM at Holy Trinity Church. MEET AT CHURCH. Burial will be private. Donations may be made to Boys Town, PO Box 8000, Boys Town, NE 68010.
