Anna B. Beattie

Anna B. (Frederick) Beattie, 84, of Fall River, passed away on Monday, October 12, 2026. She was the loving wife of John Joseph Beattie, with whom she shared 65 years of marriage.

Born in Fall River, she was the daughter of the late Allen P. and Armelina (Bouchard) Frederick.

She was a graduate of Mount Saint Mary's Academy in Fall River. Anna worked as a machine operator in the Fall River Knitting Mills for many years. She also worked at LTX Corporation, Fall River Florist Supply, and Walmart. In her free time she enjoyed reading, solving puzzles, and bird watching. Anna liked to travel, going on many bus trips, and cruises. She also used her crafting skills to knit hats and scarfs for school children and the homeless, where her story was featured in the Fall River Herald News.

Besides her husband, she is survived by her daughters, Anna Mae Silvia (husband Richard), and Diann Pineault; a sister-in-law, Evelyn Frederick; her grandchildren, Andrew Silvia (wife Nicole), Danielle Marshall (husband Timothy), Rachel Silvia (fiancé Michael Carvalho); her great-grandchildren, Bennett, Laura, and Morgan Silvia, Owen and John Marshall. She was predeceased by her brothers, Allen, Peter, Carl, Victor, Vincent, Robert, Donald, Edmund, and William  Frederick; and her sisters, Pauline Porter, Leona Manso (husband Julius) and Nina Medeiros. 

Her Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, October 27 at 10:00 AM at Holy Trinity Church, Stafford Road, Fall River. Burial will follow at Notre Dame Cemetery.
