Angela Maria DaCosta

Angela Maria (André) DaCosta, 93, of William Street, Fall River, born on September 22, 1932, in Lomba de São Pedro, Ribeira Grande, São Miguel, Acores, passed away peacefully on May 12, 2026, in Fall River, Massachusetts.

 She was a devoted and loving mother and grandmother who found joy and comfort in cooking for her family, nurturing countless cherished moments that will endure through generations.

Angela dedicated a significant part of her life to her career with the Shelburne Shirt Co in Fall River.

She was the beloved wife of the late Ernesto DaCosta and the daughter of the late Manuel André and Maria (Arruda) André. Angela’s memory is fondly held by her devoted children, Valentina B. Amaral and husband Pedro, and Maria M. Medeiros and husband Carlos and Jose DaCosta and wife Alice. She was a proud grandmother to Peter Michael Amaral, Jason Medeiros, Richard Medeiros, and Linda DaCosta, and a loving great-grandmother to Peter James, Holly, Nolan, Alexia, and Eli.

Angela is also remembered by her siblings Jorgina Pacheco, Maria Carreiro, Inez Mauricio, Zenaide Mauricio, and Daniel Soares and her many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Ernesto André, Herculano André, Jose André and Aldina DaSilva.

Visitation will be held Sunday, May 17, 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Auclair Funeral Home, 690 South Main Street, Fall River, MA

A funeral service will be held Monday, May 18 at 10:00 AM at the funeral home.at the same location on May 18, 2026, beginning at 10:00 AM, with family greeting guests starting at 9:00 AM. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery.
