Ana M. (Melo) Aguiar

Ana M. (Melo) Aguiar, age 68, of Fall River, passed away on Monday, September 14, 2026, at Saint Anne’s Hospital. Ana was the wife of Antonio Aguiar.

Born in Sao Miguel, Azores, she was the daughter of the late Jose and Luisa (Ferreira) Melo.

Ana enjoyed flowers, cooking, baking, and listening to Portuguese music. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. 

Besides her beloved husband Antonio of 27 years, she is survived by her children: Jennifer Aguiar, Michelle Carreira and husband Justin; grandchildren: Hannah Aguiar, Gianni Aguiar, Leia Carreira, Iris Carreira, and Mackenzie Carreira; brothers: Antonio Melo, Manuel Melo and wife Ilda; sisters: Theresa Collard and husband Dennis, and Lucy Bulhoes; sister-in-law Helen Melo; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was the sister of the late Joseph Melo and sister-in-law of the late Lourdes Melo.

Ana’s funeral with visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, at 9:00 a.m., with a funeral service to begin at 11:00 a.m. in the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 S. Main Street, Fall River.

Interment will follow at Notre Dame Cemetery, 1540 Stafford Road, Fall River, MA.
