Alphonse Roger Lavoie

Alphonse Roger Lavoie, 79, of Taunton, formerly of Fall River, husband of Gerda (Joncas) Lavoie, died Friday, September 18, 2015. He was employed by Zeneca, Dighton and Marian Manor, Taunton. Besides his wife of 25years, he leaves children, Norma Jean Pavao (late husband Eddie) of Fall River, Paulette Chaves (husband Joseph) of Swansea and Roger Lavoie (wife Sandra) of Westport; siblings, Armand Lavoie of East Bridgewater, Juliette Provencal of Somerset, Claire Pelletier and Lorraine Brisson, both of Fall River; 3 stepdaughters, 11 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. He was the husband of the late Geraldine (Arruda) Lavoie, the father of the late Normand Lavoie, the brother of the late Albert and Robert Lavoie and the son of the late Wilfred J. and Marie A. (Ferland) Lavoie. His funeral mass will be held Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at St. Nicholas of Myra Church, No. Dighton. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Southcoast VNA, 200 Mill Rd.
