Allen "Gil" Hinchliffe

 Allen G. “Gil” Hinchliffe, 89, of Somerset, passed away on Monday, September 7, 2026. He was the devoted husband of Georgette S. (Fortin) Hinchliffe. 

A dedicated career Navy man and Vietnam veteran, Gil served at numerous bases across the globe; but made Hawaii their home for 30+ years.

His love for the water was profound, and he found joy in diving and boating. He also cherished the freedom of the open road on his motorcycle.

He is survived by his wife Georgette of Somerset, his son Kevin of Oregon, two granddaughters, and a great-grandson from Maui, a sister Phyllis Grime of Swansea, and numerous beloved nieces and nephews.

He was the beloved son of the late Allen Hinchliffe and Lillian (Bouthman) Hinchliffe.

Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Saturday, September 19, 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM with a funeral service to follow at 2:00 PM at Auclair Funeral Home, 690 South Main St., Fall River.
