Alice (Martel) Chicca

Alice (Martel) Chicca, 91, formerly of Lafayette Drive, Fall River, wife of the late Nemo J. Chicca, died Thursday, December 13, 2012. A 19 year employee of Frito-Lay, she was a member of Lafayette Senior Citizens Club and an avid Red Sox fan. She leaves 2 children, John J. Chicca and his wife Therese of Fall River and Joyce C. Mauretti and her husband Stephen of Swansea; a brother, Leo Martel of Florida; 7 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, a great-great-granddaughter and nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Nancy Lee Chicca; the daughter of the late Reul and Blanche (Gauthier) Martel; and the sister of the late Bertha, Charles, Henry, Oscar and Richard Martel, Rose McCormack, Yvonne Fournier, Marie Louise Simard and Jeannette Rioux. Her funeral will be held Saturday at 8:00 AM from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass in St. Bernadette Church at 9:00 AM. Burial, Notre Dame Cemetery. Visitation, Friday 4:30 to 7:00 PM. LARGE PARKING AREA and BARRIER-FREE ENTRANCE at the rear of funeral home.
