Albert R. Mercier, 90, of Swansea, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 21, 2025. He was the husband of Phyllis (Ashworth) Mercier, with whom they shared 63 years of marriage.
Born in Fall River, he was the son of the late Albert and Anita (Heroux) Mercier.
Albert's life was marked by a profound commitment to his trade and an unwavering passion for the arts. As a self-employed artisan, Albert mastered the intricate crafts of painting, decorating, and carpentry. His work was a testament to his creativity and skill, reflecting the beauty and craftsmanship that he brought to each project. Albert had a unique ability to transform spaces and objects, leaving a lasting impact on those fortunate enough to experience his artistry firsthand.
He is survived by his three daughters, Robin Rusnock (husband Michael), Michelle Rabbitt (husband Anthony) and Susan Mercier (life companion Darryl Hutchins); Five grandchildren, Michelle Saber and companion Johnathan, Jason Rabbitt and wife Marlene, Lauren Rusnock and companion Justin, Kristie Messenger and husband Michael and Amy Hutchins and companion Jordan; He was the grandfather of the late Jocelyn Rusnock and Brandon Martin. He also leaves great-grandchildren, Damon, Julia, and Nathaniel, Aaliyah, Braxton, Raegan, Brandon, Lincoln, and Connor; his siblings, Norman Mercier, Doris Burda, Robert Mercier, the late Eileen Couture, Lucille Boucher, Richard Mercier, Kenneth Mercier, and the late George L. Mercier and the late Yvonne Conole. He was the uncle of numerous nieces and nephews.
