Agnes C. Vachon, 98, passed away peacefully on July 14, 2026 in Middletown, RI. Born on September 1, 1927 in Fall River, Agnes lived a long and full life centered on family, friendship, and finding joy in both life’s adventures and its simple pleasures. She was the beloved wife of the late Henry R. “Whitey” Vachon, with whom she shared 48 years of marriage.

A proud Tiverton resident for 63 years, Agnes made the town her home and created many cherished memories there. She spent 55 wonderful years in the home she lovingly cared for before enjoying her later years at Hancock Estates, where she resided for 8 years and formed many cherished friendships.

Agnes was employed for 45 years at J & J Corrugated Box Company in Fall River. She valued the friendships she made throughout her life, enjoying countless card games with friends at Hancock Estates and as a proud member of the Classy Ladies. She also generously gave her time as a longtime volunteer at Charlton Memorial Hospital, where her kindness and dedication touched many lives.

She loved to travel and cruise, always looking forward to discovering new places and making lasting memories. A lifelong lover of the coast, Agnes treasured her time as a member of Bakers Beach in Westport and enjoyed many happy visits to Cape Cod. She also found quiet pleasure in reading and loved taking trips to Foxwoods, where she enjoyed playing the slot machines with friends.

Always impeccably dressed, Agnes took great pride in her appearance and was known for her elegance. Whether heading out with friends, spending time with family, or simply going about her day, she believed in looking her best and carried herself with grace.

One of Agnes’s greatest expressions of love was through her baking. Her award-winning apple pie was a family favorite and a treasured tradition at family gatherings, bringing loved ones together around the table. She especially cherished the time spent with her granddaughters, enjoying tea time with them and taking them on special shopping sprees that created memories they will treasure forever.

She will be remembered for her warmth, kindness, generosity, and the special way she made those around her feel loved.

She leaves behind her devoted son, Robert H. Vachon and his wife, Janet; her cherished granddaughters, Nicole St. Martin and her husband, Joshua, and Andrea Vachon. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Henry R. “Whitey” Vachon; her parents, John F. and Mabel (Cummings) Flynn; and her brother, John F. Flynn Jr.

Visitation will be held Monday, July 20, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 South Main Street, Fall River.
