Adam R. “Dick” Ostroski, 90, of Fall River, husband of Rita E. (Levesque) Ostroski, passed away Friday, July 28, 2023.
A welder, he retired from New England Power Plant. Adam enjoyed cooking, shooting, fishing and was a member of the St.John’s Athletic Club.
He was a Marine Corps veteran of the Korean War.
Besides his wife of 69 years, he leaves three children, Peter P. Ostroski (wife Deborah L.) of Fayetteville, NC, James A. Ostroski (wife Deborah A.) of Somerset, and Carolann R. Ostroski (companion Brian C. Baer) of Fall River, and was the father of the late John E. Ostroski and Richard R. Ostroski. He also leaves five grandchildren, Samantha, Nicholas, Mark, Michael, Jenna Jimmy; five great-grandchildren, Abigail, Autumn, Landon, Carter, Andrew, Hudson, Adalynn and Connor.
Adam also leaves many nieces and nephews.
He was the son of the late Walter and Mary (Melrick) Ostroski and the brother of the late Joseph, Pete, Nelly, Alice, Lena, Mary, Ann and Jimmy.
Visitation will be held Monday, August 7, 2023, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River. Barrier-free entrance from the parking lot.
Due to unforeseen circumstances, his funeral has changed to Thursday, August 10, at 9:00 A.M. from the funeral home with a Funeral Mass in Blessed Trinity Polish National Catholic Church, 1340 Plymouth Ave. at 10:00 AM.
