Walter J. Sampson

Walter J. Sampson, 79, of Westport, formerly of Fall River, husband of Louise (Lafleur) Sampson, passed away Wednesday, January 15, 2020.

        A retired forklift operator for 38 years for Harodite Finishing in Taunton, he was a die hard Patriot's fan and loved computers, planes, aquariums, shopping and cleaning.

               Besides his wife of 60 years, he leaves three children, Donna Mendoza (husband William), Donald Sampson (wife Darlene) and Paula Frenette; three grandchildren, Danielle and Austin Mendoza and Ayden Frenette; five siblings, Claudette St. Martin (husband Edgar), Jeannine Souza, Roland Sampson (wife Sandy), Pauline Cote (husband the late Robert) and Valerie Hebert and many nieces and nephews. He was the son of the late Walter and Rita (Martel) Sampson.

        A Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, January 18, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at  Good Shepherd Church, 1598 South Main St. Fall River. Burial will be private at a later date.  There will be no calling hours.
