Ruth (Martins) Travassos

Ruth (Martins) Travassos, 74, wife of the late Antonio J. Travassos, passed away on Sunday, January 5, 2020.

            Born in Ponta Delgada, Saint Michael, Azores, she was the daughter of the late Antonio and Lurdes Maria (Soares) Martins.

            She was employed by Whaling Manufacturing Co. and Griffin Manufacturing Co.

Ruth enjoyed puzzles and cooking.

            She was the mother of Emanuel Travassos (wife Elena) and the late Peter Travassos;

the grandmother of Michael, Alissa, Andrey and Nicolaus Travassos;

the sister of Lubelia Almeida the late Manuel Antonio Martins and Ascensao Jesus.

          Visitation will be held Tuesday from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 South Main St. Fall River. 

There will be a funeral service during the visitation at 6:30 P.M.

Burial will be private.
