Richard Teixeira, 80, of New Bedford, husband of the late Vivian A. (Provencal) Teixeira, passed away Monday, February 18, 2019.

Born on September 7, 1938 to parents Adeline and Jordan Teixeira, he lived all his life in New Bedford.

He is survived by a son, Jeffrey R. Texeira of New Bedford; brother-in-law Armand Provencal of Taunton; a sister-in-law Pauline Provencal of Fairhaven. He was the father of the late Lisa Texeira.

A US Army Veteran for 6 years, he worked at Titleist for 37 years. He loved to go on day trips, shopping, and dining out after he retired.
