Raymond Laurent Obituary
Raymond J. St.Laurent, 96, of Fall River, husband of Mildred A. (Perry) St.Laurent, passed away on Tuesday, April 3, 2018. An electrician, he was employed by Quaker Fabric. He served in the Merchant Marine during WWII. Ray loved watching parades, spending time with his grandchildren and inventing things with his hands to make life easier.
Besides his wife of 67 years, he leaves two children, Arline Shepherd (husband Raymond) of Beverly Hills, FL and Steven J. St.Laurent (wife Lynn) of Westport; five grandchildren, Jill, Alison, Renee, Scott and Jon; six great-grandchildren, Leah, Luke, Ethan, Zachery, Christian and Lucas, many nieces and nephews.
He was the father of the late Dennis St.Laurent, the brother of the late Imelda Levesque, Cecile Packard, Theresa Beirola and Joseph, Alfred, Roland, Gerard, Leo and Adrien St.Laurent and the son of the late Dominique and Elise (Levesque) St.Laurent.
A special thanks to Beacon Hospice and SouthPointe Nursing Ctr.for the loving care and attention they gave.
His funeral will be held Saturday at 8:00 a.m. from Auclair Funeral Home, 690 S.Main St.Fall River, with a funeral mass in St.Anne Church, at 9:00 a.m. Burial, Notre Dame Cemetery. Visitation Friday from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Donations may be made to the Glaucoma Research Foundation, 251 Post Street Suite 600, San Francisco, CA 94108. Large parking area and barrier free entrance to rear of funeral home.
