Madeleine Angelina (Ferland) Bileau

With profound sadness we announce the passing of Madeleine Angelina Bileau (nee Ferland), loving and devoted wife of Roland G. Bileau for over 52 years, mother to Marc Bileau (Stephanie Bileau), Susan Pope (Scott Pope) and Eric Bileau (Gina Bileau), friend to many, on May 14, 2019 in her 77th year.

She left this world surrounded by family at home after an extended illness.

Always most at home in the kitchen, she proved it is the heart of the home.  Everyone was welcome, anytime.  The literal hundreds of people who came to the house during the holidays felt like she cooked just for them.  She created fond memories for countless people with her friendliness and generosity.

Madeleine enjoyed many things but her wonderful devotion to her family stands out most of all.  Her children don't know how she made it look so easy and why they were so lucky to have her as a mother and role model, but will be forever grateful.  Hard work was a given, don't settle, and never give up.  Her examples carry on today through her children and grandchildren, we hope she is proud.

She will be sorely missed.

Born in Chicoutimi, Quebec, Canada on October 25, 1942, her parents moved to Fall River, MA in 1945.  She lived in Fall River for most of her life, 6 years in Arizona, and the last 7 years in Madison, AL. 

Cherished grandmother of Tucker Bileau, Emmie Bileau, Katryna Kofton, Kayla Kofton Bileau, Samuel Pope and Robyn Pope. 

She was predeceased by her parents, Albert Ferland and Imelda Ferland (nee Guay) and her sister Marguerite Ferland.

Dear sister to Henry Ferland, Cecil Aubin, John Ferland, Louise Ferland, Raymond Ferland and Rita Lebeau.  

Remembered fondly by her many nieces and nephews.

A viewing and memorial mass in her honor will take place at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Madison, AL.  The viewing will be held on Thursday, May 16th from 6pm to 8pm and Friday, May 17th at 9am.  The mass will immediately follow at 10am at the church.

A memorial service in her honor will take place at the Chapel at the Novitiate of the Dominican Sisters of the Presentation, 3012 Elm St. Dighton, MA 02715 on Satruday, July 13, 2019 at 9:00 A.M.
