Edward G. Arsenault

Edward G. Arsenault, 65, of Tiverton, passed away on Saturday, December 1, 2018, after a period of declining health.
A graduate of Tiverton High School, he attended Hall Drafting Institute.
Survivors include five siblings, Gloriette Janick (husband Jack) of No. Attleboro, Victor Arsenault (wife Kathleen) of Canandaigua, NY, Jeanne Rego (husband Ronald) of Tiverton, Alan Arsenault (late wife Jane) of Oak Ridge, NJ and Michele McCormick (husband Duane) of Colchester, CT; one Aunt, Dorothy Caron; numerous nieces, nephews & cousins; and his “second family” the staff and residents of Rocky Knoll Group Home, who took exceptional care of Ed. He was the brother of the late Aline Arsenault and the son of the late Wilfred E. and Florence R. (Caron) Arsenault.

Ed was a kind & generous soul & would give anyone his last dollar.  He had a quick wit & wonderful sense of humor, always bringing a hearty laugh from whoever was nearby to hear.    Ed’s favorite activities were the many family gatherings at his siblings’ homes especially for holidays & summer clamboils.  He loved trips with Rocky Knoll staff & residents to Foxwoods, their summer trips to New Hampshire & Maine, & especially the trip to Elvis’ Graceland Mansion in Tenn.  He was especially fond of going out to eat for fish & chips at Pub 99, ice cream sundaes at Moose Cafe, & Dunkin Donuts. Ed had a love for working with wood & built several pieces of furniture which our family will forever cherish.

Throughout  all of Ed’s life challenges, he fought every battle without a sliver of complaint.  He has given us strength that we never would have realized without him.  Edward was much loved by all who knew him and will be greatly missed.
 
A Memorial Service will be held from 2:30 to 3:00pm on Saturday,12/08/18 with visitation to follow till 4:30 pm. at Auclair Funeral Home, 690 So.Main St. Fall River. Collation will follow.
