Edward R. Affonso

            Edward R. Affonso, 51, of Fall River, dear companion of Erin Furtado, passed away Sunday, December 9, 2018.

            He was a  United States Marine Corps Veteran  Edward he had many passions and hobbies.  A favorite passion was singing, especially karaoke. He also played soft ball at Father Kelly Field.  Ed was closely involved with running the lottery at St. John’s Club.

            He is survived by five children, Charissa Affonso and her significant other Ryan Swist, Aaron Affonso, Matthew Affonso, Jessica Guillmette all of Fall River and Andrew Guilmette of North Carolina; a granddaughter, Autumn Swist of Fall River; four siblings, Chet Affonso and his wife Jen, Bob Affonso, Diana Rodrigues and her husband Russ all of Fall River and Billy Affonso and his wife Kerri of Wareham and many cousins, uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and friends. He was the former husband of the late Melissa (Guilmette) Affonso and the son of the late Robert and Lynn (Smith) Affonso.

            A visitation will be held Thursday, December 20, 2018 from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M.  with a service at 5:30 P.M. at the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 So. Main St., Fall River.

Before the visitation at the funeral home, there will be a Celebration of  Ed’s Life “get together” at St. Johns Club, 1365 Rodman St. Fall River, from 12:00 noon to 3:15 P.M.  Please contact Charissa Affonso if you can attend this event.  Thank You.
