Bernadette Littlefield

Bernadette (Chretien) Littlefield, 97, of Hartsville, SC, formerly of Westport and Fall River, wife of the late Edward Littlefield, passed away Wednesday, November 28, 2018.

            During WWII, she worked at the Newport Naval Torpedo Station. Then, she was employed by the Fall River YMCA and UMass Dartmouth, retiring in 1983. An avid Red Sox and Patriots fan, she played many sports including volleyball, tennis and was a golfer until the age of 93.

            She leaves two daughters, Mary Fernandes and her husband James and Carol Littlefield all of Hartsville, SC and several nieces and nephews. She was the daughter of the late Charles Chretien and Florina (Roberts) Chretien and the sister of the late Bertha, Omer, George, Albert, Norman, Hector and Leo Chretien.

            Her funeral will be held Monday at 11:00 AM from the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 So. Main St., Fall River. Burial, Notre Dame Cemetery.
