Barbara (Fairhurst) Guay

Barbara (Fairhurst) Guay, 83, of Fall River, entered into heaven to reunite with her late husband Donald H. Guay,  Saturday, December 22, 2018.

             A beloved mother, grandmother, aunt and sister who always shared her advice and wisdom, she was a machine operator for local garment factories, and was a member of the ILGWU.

             She leaves four children, Paula Parisee and her husband Michael of Dartmouth, Mary Ann Costa, Donald Guay and his wife Diane and Patricia Guay and her partner Joseph Teixeira all of Fall River; nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one great, great-grandchild; a sister, Carol Niles of Fall River

and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Catherine Marquis and the daughter of the late James and Mary (Costa) Fairhurst.

             Her funeral service will be held Saturday, December 29th at 6:00 PM at the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 So. Main St., Fall River. Cremation to follow. A visitation will be held prior from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the American Heart Assn., PO Box 417005, Boston, MA 02241.
