Albert A. Sorel

Albert Aime Sorel, 85, of The Villages, Florida passed away May 9, 2019 at The Villages Regional Hospital, The Villages, Florida. He was the husband of Laurie Sorel for 60 years.

            Albert was born in Fall River, Massachusetts, a son of the late Albert and Concorde Sorel. He was a Veteran of the US Air Force. Prior to his retirement, he was a Systems Analyst for The Foxboro Company. He enjoyed golf, horseshoes, quilting, dancing and camping. He was an accomplished piano player, woodcarver and sketcher. He visited all 50 states. He was an avid bowler who achieved 5 perfect score games. He medaled in The Villages Senior Games several times.

            Albert is survived by his wife, Laurie Sorel and daughters, Diane Xeller and her husband, Stephen of Ocala, FL, Janet Sorel of Longwood, FL and Susan McDonald of Port Huron, MI and sons, Paul Sorel and his wife, Janet of Saratoga Springs, NY and John Sorel and his wife, Susan of Plainville, MA. He has 10 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

            A visitation will be held Saturday, September 21, from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM with a prayer service at 12:30 PM at the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 So. Main St., Fall River.
