Gregory R. Belisle

Gregory R. “Greg” Belisle, 85, of Tiverton, passed away on Friday, April 5, 2024. He was the husband of the late Eileen (Almeida) Belisle.

Gregory graduated from Diman Regional Vocational Technical High School, served in the U.S. Army, and owned Greg’s Shoe Repair in Fall River.  He was an avid cyclist and member of the Narragansett Bay Wheelmen. He and his wife were also members of a stunt kite flying team, winning first place in a number of competitions. In later years, he enjoyed reading, loved sitting in the sunshine, and had a fondness for the praying mantis that visited his front porch garden regularly.

Greg is survived by his children, Rochelle Belisle Jones (husband George), Gregory Belisle, Jr. (wife Nichelle), and Rosalyn Belisle; his grandchildren, Helen Jones, Michael Jones, Alicia Belisle, and Douglas Belisle (wife Brianna); his great-grandchildren, Cameron and Juliet; and his sister, Jocelyne Stratton (husband Lynn).  He is also survived by his nephews and many cousins, 2 of whom were like brothers, Pierre (wife Donna) and Donald (wife Alice) Morin.

He was the son of the late Elphege “Al” and Yvette C. (Charest) Belisle.
