Obituary for Maurice H. Cyr

Maurice H. Cyr, 90, of Fall River, husband of the late Yvette A. (Benoit) Cyr, passed away Sunday, March 18, 2018.

An Army Veteran of WWII, he owned and operated Cyr Plastering and Masonry. He was known for his pizza at the Sportsmans Club. He took care of his grandchildren while puzzle making. He enjoyed gardening, specializing in tomatoe and also liked to watch the sunset in the evening.

He was the father of Theresa A. Vaillancourt (Henry) of Westport, Jeanne M. Kremer (Perry) of Fall River, Annette C. Souza (Robert) of Somerset and Maurice J. Cyr (Jeffery Chamberlin) of Fall River; the grandfather of Jamie Pell (Joshua), Becky Goncalves (Mike), Chad Vaillancourt, Angel Magee (Sean), Kyle Souza, Ashley Ratcliffe (Nicholas), Matthew Kremer and Sarah Kremer; the great-grandfather of Skylha Vaillancourt, Oliver and Paige Goncalves, Ben and Eli Pell, Faith and Makenzie Magee, and Parker and Gracelyn Ratcliffe; the brother of Robert Cyr (Louise) of Swansea and the late Normand Cyr (late Claire); and also leaves nieces and nephews. He was the son of the late Solomon and Marie (Thibault) Cyr.

His funeral service will be held Thursday at 11:00 AM at the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 So. Main St., Fall River. Interment at Notre Dame Cemetery.

Visitation, Wednesday from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Large parking area and barrier-free entrance at the rear of funeral home. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to Adam's House, 1168 Highland Ave., Fall River, MA 02720
