Obituary for Ethelvina "Tillie" Souza

Ethelvina “Tillie” (Pavao) Souza, 100, of Fall River, widow of Joseph Souza, passed away Monday, October 2, 2017.
She was employed by Schneirson & Sons Mfg., Fall River. Know as the #1 volunteer of St. Mary’s Cathedral, she was a former member of St. Louis Church, where she received the Marian medal. Her hobbies included sewing and gardening. She loved caring for her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include two children, Barbara Griffin (late husband John J.) of Fall River & William Souza (wife Joan) of Seekonk; 9 grandchildren, Donna Levesque, Linda Tetrault, Pamela McGarty, Lorna Xavier, Kimberly and William Souza, Victoria Rutkiewicz, Christopher and Susan Botelho; many great grandchildren, 7 great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was the daughter of the late Mariano and Maria (Rapoza) Pavao, the sister of the late Gilda Pacheco, Charlotte Andree, Hilda Grondin, John, Manuel and James Souza and the stepdaughter of the late Antonio Souza.
Her funeral will be held Wednesday, at 9:00 a.m. from Auclair Funeral Home, 690 S.Main St.Fall River with a funeral mass in St.Mary Cathedral, Fall River, at 10:00 a.m. Burial, Notre Dame Cemetery. Visitation Tuesday from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Large parking area/barrier-free entrance to rear of funeral home. Please omit flowers.
