Obituary for Benoit H. Beaudoin

Benoit H, “Benny” Beaudoin, 85 of Tiverton R.I. born in Fall River, the seventh son of late Lionel & Florida (Jusseaume) Beaudoin was a loving father and hard working provider for his wife and six children. During his long professional career as a highly skilled stone mason, Ben also was a successful contractor, landlord, developer and wood sawyer. His quick wit and playful bantor made him a pleasure to work with as he was sought out in the New England area for his expertise and pleasant personality. Ben’s family was always first in his mind and he treasured every moment they shared together. In his private life he enjoyed simple introspective pleasures, such as playing cards with friends & family, taking long walks in the woods and spending time with his dogs. He had a deep appreciation for the woods and different uses of trees. Making his own maple syrup and sharing it with neighbors was a favorite spring ritual. When time allowed, Ben was a dedicated student of history, especially the World War II era, and always had an interesting story to share. “Benny” Beaudoin will be remembered fondly and truly missed by all that knew him.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Lorraine A (Metayer) and 6 children. Claire Lorraine (husband Marc), Bernard Beaudoin, Claudette Beaudoin (husband Will MacFarlane), Denis Beaudoin (wife Mary), Bernadette Ottiano (husband Chris) and Philip Beaudoin (wife Tracy); 16 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, 2 sisters, Jean St. Marie and Rita Dumont and many nieces & nephews. He was the brother of the late George, Rocky, Roland, Gerald, Henry and Albert Beaudoin.
