Thomas J. Cordeiro, 78, of Assonet, formerly of Tiverton and Florida, husband of Irene (Enos) Cordeiro, died Thursday, May 10, 2012. He owned and operated Tom’s Auto Body, Tiverton and previously was employed by Jack’s Auto Body, Tiverton. Besides his wife of 57 years, he leaves three children, Guy T. Cordeiro of Boston, John T. Cordeiro (wife Teresa) of Tiverton and Susan Mattie (husband John) of Berkley; five grandchildren, Audrey Mulcahy, Chelsea and Sarah Cordeiro, Breahna Mattie and John Mattie III; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by son Joseph Cordeiro, granddaughter Megan L. Cordeiro, brothers John “Jack”, Joseph “Babe”, Ernest, and Raymond Cordeiro, and sister Alice DeSoto and parents Joseph and Lila (Cabral) Cordeiro. Following cremation, funeral service Saturday, May 19, at NOON in AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St. Fall River. Reception immediately following.
