Barbara Jean Corley, RN, 64, of McGowan St., Fall River, formerly of New York, NY, widow of Merchant William Brown, and daughter of the late Gertrude Corley, died Saturday, April 28, 2012.

A dedicated pediatric nurse, she was employed by Bellevue Hospital, New York for many years. A light spirited, selfless, and warm hearted person, she loved spending time with her family, cooking, shopping, and laughing.

She leaves children, Venus Brown of New York, NY, Vanessa Brown Heyward and her husband Perry of Bronx, NY, Merchant Brown and his wife Jennifer of New York, NY, Sherise Brown of Chicago, IL, Sheniqua Brown of Fall River, and Daquan Corley of Fall River; grandchildren, Perry, Shaquasha, and Sheniqua Heyward, William Merchant Brown III, Shante, Daniela and Sean Brown, and Quenten Victor Jean-Baptiste; siblings, Blossom Coaxum of New York, NY, Diane Corley of Chicago, IL, Eric Corley of Bronx, NY, and Dwight Corley of New York, NY; and nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Jeanette Simmons, Alvin Corley and Tilson Corley.

Visitation and services, Saturday afternoon from 1:00 PM in the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River. LARGE PARKING AREA and BARRIER-FREE ENTRANCE at the rear of funeral home. Please omit flowers.
