Jeffrey Taylor, 55, of New Bedford, formerly of Fall River, loving companion of Celeste Todman, and son of Francis “Frank” Taylor of Fall River and the late Jeanne (Archambault) Taylor, died Friday, April 6, 2012.

He was employed by the former Alfie’s Bar, New Bedford for many years.

Besides his loving companion and father he leaves children, Nakia, Jordan and Joshua Merkman and Tiffany Todman, all of New Bedford; a stepdaughter, April Miller of Georgia; five grandchildren; siblings, Brenda Cyr (Raymond) of Fall River, Christine Mello Viens (Robert) of Ashland, MA, William R. Taylor (Joyce) of Carver, MA, Russell Taylor (Deborah) of Portsmouth, RI, Cynthia Proulx (Michael Claus) of Taunton, Paula Schaefer of Bellingham, MA, and Michael Taylor of New Bedford; and nieces and nephews.

His funeral service will be held Monday at 11:00 AM in the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Fall River.

Visitation, Monday morning prior to the service from 9:00 to 11:00 AM. LARGE PARKING AREA and BARRIER-FREE ENTRANCE at the rear of funeral home. PLEASE OMIT FLOWERS. Donations, to be used according to the wishes of the family, appreciated.
